The Last Goodbye
Single April 2020
1 Song
02:14
Music composed by Donald Loignon
Productions guitare verte : Eric Bernard – Mixing
This composition, created in 2019 and recorded in 2020, was remixed in 2024 by Éric Bernard. Despite some imperfections, I chose to keep the original recording to preserve its authentic emotion.
The Last Goodbye is dedicated to the memory of one of my brothers, Jacques Loignon, who passed away in 2018, taken by cancer in only three weeks. Jacques managed to touch all of us, whether near or far, with his kindness, generosity, attentiveness, empathy, courage, and his unique sense of humor.
He knew how to make us laugh and make us feel important. He stood out through his courage and his desire to live.
The Last Goodbye embodies, for me, a farewell that fell short of what I had hoped for, marked by my inability to find the right words or gestures that could have expressed all my admiration and love for my brother. These words remained incomplete, awkward, far from the tribute he deserved as a brother and for everything he had done for me.
