Within each of us lies a deep desire to live fully, to go beyond boundaries to reach the ultimate goal of self-realization. This need to know oneself, to push one’s limits, and to become a bit more of oneself each day gives us great power. This journey in authenticity can sometimes be challenging. However, we often have the choice between the rocky road and the smooth path. Some will choose the harder path out of respect for their conscience and for themselves. Others will choose the easy path. Regardless of the choice, one certainty remains: each of us is the “master of our destiny.

This instrumental album, released in 1997, includes 12 compositions and was recorded at Studio Séquence in Quebec. In 1996, Donald Loignon completed his first rock instrumental album titled Master of Your Destiny, also recorded at Studio Séquence. This album is the fulfillment of his dream, inspired by legends like Eddie Van Halen, Gary Moore, Randy Rhoads, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Special thanks to Jean Bolduc on bass, Maxine Veilleux on drums, and Marc Poirier on guitar for their performances on stage.
